Website care is Realtiq's monthly plan for keeping a small business website current after it goes live. For A$79 a month you get 30 minutes of small changes and support each month: new opening hours, a fresh photo, an updated price, a corrected line of text. It is optional, it starts when your website is delivered, and it runs month to month, so you can cancel any time.

A website is not finished on launch day. Hours change, prices go up, a staff member leaves, a public holiday comes round. None of these is a big job, but each one tends to sit on a to-do list for weeks while the site quietly tells customers the wrong thing. Website care exists so that list gets cleared every month without you having to log in and remember how.

What website care includes

Each month you get 30 minutes of our time for small changes and support on the website we built for you. Typical requests that fit:

  • Opening hours, including public holiday and Christmas trading hours.
  • Prices and services: a new price list, a service added or removed, a seasonal special.
  • Photos: swapping a dated photo for a new one you send us, or adding a few to the gallery.
  • Text: fixing a typo, rewording a paragraph, updating a staff bio or contact detail.
  • Small tweaks: a button that should point somewhere else, a new link to your booking page.
  • Support: a quick question about how something on your site works.

Unused minutes do not roll over to the next month. That keeps the plan simple and the price fixed.

What is not included

Website care keeps what you have current. It is not a way to build something new:

  • New pages, new features or a redesign are quoted as a separate project, with the price confirmed in writing before we start.
  • Hosting, the domain and platform licences (an online shop platform, for example) are set up in your name and paid to those providers, as listed in your website proposal.
  • Extra languages and complex integrations with your other tools are quoted separately.

If a request is bigger than a small change, we tell you before doing it, so nothing turns up on an invoice by surprise.

Do you need it?

Not every business does. Every website Realtiq builds comes with a walkthrough of how to change text, photos and products yourself, so care is a convenience, not a lock-in. A quick way to decide:

Your situationWebsite care?
Hours, prices or menus change every month or twoProbably worth it
You will not log in to make changes yourselfProbably worth it
Someone on your team is happy editing the siteProbably not needed
The site rarely changes and you are fine doing itProbably not needed

The longer version, with what care plans across the market usually cover and what to check before you sign any of them, is in our guide is a website care plan worth it for a small business?.

How to get the most from 30 minutes

Thirty minutes goes a long way when requests are clear. A few habits help:

  1. Send changes together. One message with three changes beats three messages over a week.
  2. Send the final text and photos. "Change Saturday to 8am to 2pm" is a one minute job. "Can you make the hours look better?" is a conversation.
  3. Say where on the page. A screenshot or the page link saves time on both sides.
  4. Plan ahead for holidays. Send Christmas and Easter hours a week or two early so the site and your Google Business Profile say the same thing on the day.

Keeping your details identical everywhere matters for local search too. Our guide on Google Business Profile versus a website explains why the two should always match.

Who owns what

Your website, domain and hosting are set up in your name from the start, with or without website care. If you stop the plan, nothing is taken away: the site stays live and yours, and you can keep editing it yourself or ask someone else to. You can read who should own what, and why it matters, in who should own your domain and hosting.

Common questions

How much is website care?

A$79 a month for 30 minutes of small changes and support each month. It is paid monthly in advance, runs month to month and you can cancel any time.

When does website care start?

When your website is delivered. It is optional, so you can add it at the start or leave it off and update the site yourself.

Do unused minutes roll over?

No. Each month has its own 30 minutes, which is what keeps the price fixed and simple.

What happens if I need a new page?

A new page, a new feature or a redesign is quoted as a separate project. We tell you before starting anything that falls outside a small change, and the price is confirmed in writing.

Can I still edit the website myself?

Yes. Every website comes with a walkthrough of how to change text, photos and products yourself, and website care does not change that. Many owners do the quick edits themselves and send us the rest.

What happens to my website if I cancel?

Nothing. The website, domain and hosting are in your name, so the site stays live and stays yours.
