Websites and online shops for Sydney retail stores
Websites and online shops for Sydney boutiques, florists, gift and specialty stores: opening hours, what you stock, Maps, and an optional online shop.
A local shop has two jobs online. The first is to get people through the door: opening hours, location, what you stock and why it is worth the trip. The second, if you choose, is to sell products to people who will never visit. Realtiq designs websites and online shops for Sydney boutiques, gift shops, florists and specialty stores, and tells you honestly which of the two you need.
Job one: get people to the shop
Someone searching "gift shop near me" or "florist Paddington" wants a quick, trustworthy answer.
Hours and location
Accurate opening hours, including public holidays and trading changes, matching your Google Business Profile. Your address with a Google Maps link, and notes on parking or the nearest station.
What you stock
A page for each category, with real photos taken in your shop, so people know what to expect. You do not have to list every item. Show the range and the standouts.
What makes it worth the trip
Say what is different: you stock local makers, you offer wrapping or custom orders, you can order things in. Only claim what is true and what you are happy to be held to.
Phone and messages
A tap-to-call number and links to where customers already ask you things, such as Instagram or WhatsApp.
Job two: sell online
An online shop is the right call when you want to sell products to people beyond your suburb, or when customers keep asking "can you post it?"
An online shop includes a product catalogue with variants such as sizes or colours, payments and shipping. Think carefully about the work behind it: photographing products, writing descriptions, handling stock, packing and posting. A shop that is not kept up does your reputation more harm than no shop.
A middle path many stores take: a business website now, with a small number of products, and a full shop when you are ready.
Pages most stores need
- Home, with what you sell, where you are and when you are open
- Shop or range, one page per main category
- About, who runs it and how you source what you sell
- Visit, with the map, hours and parking
- Contact, with a short form
That is a business website of up to five pages. With an online shop, the catalogue replaces the range pages.
Found on Google and Maps
Every Realtiq website includes the local search basics, from the A$790 landing page up:
- A page title with what you sell and your suburb, and a description for every page
- Structured data with your store details: address, phone and opening hours
- Name, address and phone written exactly as on your Google Business Profile, with a Google Maps link
- A sitemap, with the site added to Google Search Console and the sitemap submitted
Nobody can promise a position on Google. On Maps, your Business Profile does most of the work, and a website linked from it helps there and in normal results.
While you are serving customers
Retail enquiries arrive while you are with someone else: "Do you have this in blue?", "Are you open on Sunday?", "Do you deliver?" The assistant side of Realtiq answers those from the information you approve, on your website chat, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, email and SMS, and with a voice agent on the phone. It cannot see your shelves unless it is connected to your stock system, which is an integration scoped separately, so it should be set up to say what it knows and hand over the rest.

Common questions
Do I need an online shop, or just a website?
If you want to sell to people outside your area, you need a shop. If you mostly want to bring people into the store, a business website is usually enough.
Can I add products myself?
Yes. The online shop includes a walkthrough of how to add products yourself.
Can it take payments and handle shipping?
Yes. The online shop has payments and shipping set up.
Can I start small?
Yes. Many shops begin with a landing page or a business website and add a shop later.
