Website design for tradies in Sydney

Website design for Sydney plumbers, electricians, builders and other trades: service areas, licence details and a quote form that takes photos.

Realtiq designs websites for Sydney tradies: plumbers, electricians, builders, carpenters, painters, landscapers and other trades. A good one tells a customer in seconds what you do, where you work and how to get a quote, because that customer usually has a problem now and is ringing two or three businesses. Whoever answers, or calls back first, often gets the job.

What customers look for on a tradie's website

Whether you do the job

A clear list of the work you do, as real text, with one page for each main service if you offer several. Someone searching for a blocked drain or a switchboard upgrade should land on the page about exactly that.

Whether you come to them

Your service area, written out: the suburbs or regions you cover, and anywhere you do not. This saves you calls from people too far away, and helps people nearby see that you are local.

That you are licensed

In NSW, the Fair Trading guidance on building trade advertisements says the licensee's name and licence number must be shown in all advertising, including on the internet, for residential building work over $5,000 and for specialist work of any value, such as electrical, plumbing, drainage, gas fitting, and air conditioning and refrigeration work. We put your licence details on the site exactly as you give them to us. Check the rules for your trade with NSW Fair Trading or your adviser.

How to get a quote

A short quote form that asks the right questions for your trade: the suburb, what needs doing, how soon, and optional photos. Good photos from the customer can save you a site visit or tell you what to bring.

Your work

Photos of real jobs, before and after where you have them. We never use stock photos dressed up as your work, and we do not add reviews, results or promises you have not given us.

When you cannot answer the phone

A website brings the enquiry in, and the phone is where many tradies lose it: you are up a ladder when it rings, and the caller tries the next business. The full guide is AI receptionist for tradies, which covers what an AI receptionist handles on a trade phone, where it hands over to you and how to test it before a customer does. The simplest first step is missed-call text back, and the AI receptionist in Sydney page covers the rest. Anything you have not approved goes to you.

Found on Google and Maps

Every Realtiq website includes the local search basics, from the A$790 landing page up:

  • A page title with your trade and your area, and a description for every page
  • Structured data with your business details and service area
  • Name and phone written exactly as on your Google Business Profile
  • A sitemap, with the site added to Google Search Console and the sitemap submitted

Many tradies run a service-area business without a shopfront, and the Google Business Profile can be set up that way. Nobody can promise a position on Google, but a clear website linked from your Profile helps people who find you there decide to call. See Google Business Profile or a website for how the two work together.

What it costs

Websites, in Australian dollars:

Landing pageA$790 one-off
Business website, up to 5 pagesA$1,490 one-off
Online shopA$2,990 one-off
Website careA$79 a month

Prices in Australian dollars. Every proposal is confirmed in writing before we start.

A landing page suits a sole trader with one main service. The business website, up to five pages, suits a trade with several services or areas: home, services, service area, recent work and quote. The domain, hosting and any platform accounts are set up in your name and listed in the proposal.

If you want calls and messages answered as well:

Chat assistantA$990 setup + A$149 a month
Voice agentA$1,490 setup + A$299 a month, 200 minutes included

Prices in Australian dollars. Every proposal is confirmed in writing before we start.

Both run month to month. Integrations, such as your job management software, are scoped and quoted separately.

How a project runs

  1. A 15 minute call, at a time that suits you, to talk through your trade, your area and how quotes come in now.
  2. A design for your business, with your photos and your wording, not a template with the colours changed.
  3. You review it, with two rounds of changes in the base price.
  4. Launch, with the local search basics, your Google Business Profile linked and a walkthrough of how to update it yourself.

Common questions

Do I need a website if I get most work from word of mouth?

People you are referred to usually look you up before they ring. A simple site with your services, area, licence and a way to get a quote confirms you are the right person and makes the call easier.

Can the quote form take photos?

Yes. The form can ask for photos of the job, so you can see what is involved before you reply.

Will a voice agent quote prices to my customers?

Only what you approve. Most tradies keep pricing for themselves and let the agent collect the job details, the suburb and how urgent it is. More in AI receptionist for tradies.

What happens when I miss a call and do not have any of this set up?

The caller usually rings the next business on the list. Missed-call text back is the simplest fix: it sends a text so the caller knows you will get back to them.

Can I update the website myself?

Yes. Every site comes with a walkthrough, and website care at A$79 a month covers 30 minutes of small changes a month.
